Charlene Meeker holds a Masters of Public Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Fundraising Certification which couples nicely with over 14 years of hands-on experience gained in the fields of community development, nonprofit management, public relations and higher education.
Throughout her academic and professional career she has engaged in community relations, fundraising, strategic planning, counseling, and project management.
Ms. Meeker’s passion for community development has allowed her to formulate a broad base of knowledge in social, governmental, educational, environmental, economic and cultural issues. Her reputation for resourcefulness and the ability to relate to diverse groups of people are two of her greatest strengths. Her recognition of the issues facing communities is expansive and she is continually engaged in further education.
Since 2004, Ms. Meeker has engaged in redevelopment initiatives in a variety of areas; from small communities to specific neighborhoods, affordable housing to small business development. She has personally and collaboratively raised several million dollars in investment capital and general fundraising dollars. Additionally, she has been able to garner positive media coverage and strengthen public relations for multiple clients.
