YU:ME (pronounced "YOOMAE") is the Japanese word for 'dream'.

YU:ME Community Intelligence was founded to aid communities in fulfilling their dreams. YU:ME's leadership employs a thoughtful approach to neighborhood empowerment and community economic development.

YU:ME is poised to guide and collaborate at any stage in the process, whether for a neighborhood taking a grassroots approach to revitalization, a municipality spearheading a timely redevelopment plan, or a community-oriented property developer with a promising vision.

BIOGRAPHY

Charlene Meeker holds a Masters of Public Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Fund Raising Certification which couples nicely with over 12 years of hands-on experience gained in the fields of community development, nonprofit management, public relations and higher education. Throughout her academic and professional career she has engaged in community relations, fund raising, strategic planning, counseling, and project management.

Ms. Meeker's passion for community development has allowed her to formulate a broad base of knowledge in social, governmental, educational, environmental, economic and cultural issues. Her reputation for resourcefulness and the ability to relate to diverse groups of people are two of her greatest strengths. Her recognition of the issues facing communities is expansive and she is continually engaged in further education.

Since 2004, Ms. Meeker has engaged in redevelopment initiatives in a variety of areas; from small communities to specific neighborhoods, affordable housing to small business development. She has personally and collaboratively raised several million dollars in investment capital and general fund raising dollars. Additionally, she has been able to garner positive media coverage and strengthen public relations for multiple clients.
